Rated 3/5 based on 3 customer reviews.
It's kinda like hungry shark, which I love.. the controls aren't quit as good though, and it goes by levels as opposed to being semi-free roaming, not a bad thing by any means, just a different way of going about things.. get the controls up to par with it and I'll say it deserves more stars.
Aggressive, but cute
The following is an excerpt from my review at Photics.com...
"Tigerfish are real fish. But in the iPhone / iPod Touch game, the Tigerfish has eyebrows. Tigerfish, by Marcos Riffel, is a cute and cartoony game, probably most ideal for preadolescent boys. Floating around and eating the weak, while shooting at the strong, might appeal to that audience. As for me, I actually felt bad for the little fish. They make these scared sounds when you get too close. But if you want to fight against the bigger fish, you’ll need to eat the weaker ones."
+ Vivid and cute graphics
+ Great music and neat sound effects
+ Parallax scrolling reminds me of the days of 16-bit gaming
- The controls are a little rough. (You get a choice of accelerometer or on-screen joystick to move the fish.)
- Death happens abruptly, without animation
Overall, I think it's a good game. It's hard to get grumpy about a 99¢ game. It's obvious that a lot of work went into this game and it's fun... but I feel bad for the little fish. HA HA!
Full Disclosure: I received a promo code to review this game. I'm the author of The Unofficial GameSalad Textbook.
Cute graphics. The premise is simple, just move your fish to eat other smaller fish. The controls are not quite as responsive as I'd like, but good enough to maneuver around. You find the key for the castle, and when you unlock it, you go to the next level.
